The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Just as Big-D Construction seeks to be the most sought-after construction company in the business, the Lindon office has a similar goal of being the number one construction company in Utah County.

Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Located on a 7-acre site, this two-story dealership project included a post-tension parking garage and ramp, elevator, 26-bay vehicle service center and four sprinter van service bays, full-service carwash, detail bays, partially enclosed service drive, a three-story parts interior racking and shelving system and a 30’ tall radius glass window wall. Special features include powder coated exterior columns carrying an epic deck canopy and overhang, a 44’ tall blade wall covered by ACM paneling, a 30’ open sales floor ceiling painted with a specialty two-part automotive paint and second story windows with two-way mirrored glazing. The project was accelerated from a 10.5 month to 4.5-month schedule. Our organization was able to accomplish this timetable with an extensive amount of planning, subcontractor management and manpower rotation.

Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale is a unique project in several ways. The project converted an existing, underperforming three-story office building. Our team needed to maintain all services to the building in order to accommodate tenants moving out while still delivering the project to the dealership on time. Construction needed to be in two phases, with the first phase completed in less than three months after the existing tenant moved out. New construction included a ground-up showroom, demolition and a rebuild the east and west half of the existing building. The scope of work for the 115,000 SF, three-story dealership included building a car ramp on the south exterior face of the building that provided access to the second and third floors to park new Mercedes vehicles on these floors.
