The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Dannon produces more than 100 million pounds of yogurt per year in this state-of-the-art facility in West Jordan, Utah. 125,000 gallons of raw milk per day run through its 50,000-gallon milk silos. This 160,000-square-foot facility is actually seven connected buildings.
The process area features acid brick flooring with epoxy grout, FRP panels and ceramic tile on all walls with stainless steel doors, frames and trench drains. A 30,000-square-foot service attic was designed for ease of facility maintenance without interfering with production process.

The Lake Norden Cheese Processing Facility project was an expansion of operations to construct a new cheese plant that adjoins the existing whey products plant onsite. The total area, including the mezzanine, upper level and remodel of the existing plant, was approximately 160,000 square feet. New construction consisted of precast concrete walls and roof, single-ply roofing and durable interior finishes as appropriate for food processing plants. The project also required extensive site development including new sanitary and process sewer, water, storm water and electrical utilities installation. A new process wastewater treatment plant was also constructed concurrently with the new manufacturing plant facility. The Lake Norden facility receives and processes more than three million pounds of raw milk daily. They produce 370 million pounds of cheese annually and are one of the largest suppliers of cheese to Kraft Foods.
