The Big-D Idaho Falls office began, in earnest, in 2013 when a project construction team with ties to Eastern Idaho was relocated to Rexburg, Idaho to manage the construction of the Central Energy Facility project at BYU-Idaho. Company leadership then discovered there were other employees from Eastern Idaho eager to pursue more work locally. In turn, Big-D encouraged their eagerness and desire to establish a presence throughout Eastern Idaho. That presence continued to grow until Big-D officially opened a regional office in Idaho Falls in 2018.
Big-D Idaho Falls is proud to offers clients the ability to work directly with a local contractor who can devote a higher level of attention to projects, typical of a smaller contractor, but who is also backed by the significant resources of a much larger firm. With Big-D Idaho Falls you receive the best of both worlds – the dedication of an earnest small contractor and the resources, professionalism, and experience of a much larger organization.
While the roots of Big-D Construction are ever-expanding, our Idaho Falls office takes a community-centered approach to our work. The Big-D Lindon office opened in 2005 with the focus to increase Big-D’s presence in Utah County. The Lindon office constructs a wide range of project types annually, with key market sectors being commercial buildings, higher education facilities, multi-family housing, industrial, and mining projects. Big-D Lindon is a fully self-sufficient office, able to offer comprehensive Preconstruction and Construction services, and is staffed with a Preconstruction Director, a team of estimators, and a variety of market-specific construction team members.
Building and maintaining local client relationships has always been the driving factor for the Lindon office but being local for their employees who appreciate working on projects close to home and minimizing long commutes is equally as important. Big-D Construction was founded in 1967 in Ogden. It was our original home, first headquarters, and where it all started. The Ogden office is where our company culture and core values were forged and where Big Dee and his founding leaders built a company based on equal respect for customers and employees. Construction has begun on Copa Flats, a 312-unit, multi-family housing development on 13 acres in Maricopa, AZ. The affordable housing project, backed by Minnesota-based developer, Real Estate Equities has a proposed mix of one, two and three-bedroom units with the following mix: 48 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units; 108 two-bedroom, two-bathroom units; and 156 three-bedroom, two-bathroom units. Currently, 13 total buildings are expected to be built on the site. All 13 will be three stories and approximately 35 feet in height, housing 24 units per structure. This is the first of multiple projected multi-family developments scheduled for the Phoenix metropolitan area with the need for affordable housing increasing at an exponentiated rate. The project is expected to come to substantial completion by December of 2023.

Spring House Apartments is a new, four-story, income restricted multi-family housing project with modern look and upscale feel. The building is wood frame construction with a flat membrane roof, over a single-story precast concrete parking structure. The exterior is comprised of brick, cultured stone, and fiber cement panel siding. The complex is a mix of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units appointed with granite countertops, vinyl plank flooring, warm led lighting, custom paint, and Juliette balconies. Construction included numerous community amenities including a playground, community room, fitness center, clubroom with kitchen, outdoor rooftop area with grills and fire pit, a lighted dog run, and fully landscaped grounds.
